Old Chicago – 144th & W. Center

Category : Restaurants, Reviews

Date of the Visit: Monday April 14th 2008

So a group of friends and myself went to Old Chicago on 144th & W. Center for our bi-monthly dinner. This experience was a one of a kind for this location and what seems to be a growing problem with West Omaha restaurants.

This problem I speak of is a lack of service. When you arrive at a restaurant and after two hours still have not been able to get you food and finish it then you know there is a problem. For the sake of our server I hope he was a new guy, but it was obvious that he was not and that a group of 10-15 people just doesn’t mean anything to Old Chicago at this location. Continually during the course of the evening we had to ask other servers to find our server as he continually disappeared for chunks of time.

As far as some of the other aspects of the restaurant go, the food and drinks, are good. The popular choice of the night was the “Three Course Meal“. The popular choices were the Italian Bruchetta, Classic Italian Melt and Homemade Cheesecake Shot. All of these items were amazing. The price was perfect, starting at $10.99.
